Trick-or-Treat with East Midtown
We are saddened to announce that due to COVID-19, Trick-or-Treat with East Midtown has been canceled for the safety of all of our participants and staff.
This decision did not come lightly, as it has been an absolute pleasure for us to welcome thousands of trick-or-treaters to our community for the past five years. Given the uncertainty around the ongoing pandemic, CDC guidelines around gatherings, specifically around Halloween, and the cancellation or postponement of other large scale events in New York City, we believe that cancelling is the safest decision.
While it's not the same as trick-or-treating among our 100+ businesses, we still have another fun way for our community to celebrate Halloween from the comfort of your own home! We’re so excited to host our first-ever Virtual Costume Contest!
This year, we will be giving away THREE East Midtown prize packages stuffed with Halloween toys, candy, special treats and goodies from East Midtown-based businesses and fast-passes for Trick-or-Treat with East Midtown 2021, which will allow participants to skip the check-in, face painting and photobooth lines at next year’s event!
Entering is easy! Just share a photo of your family celebrating Halloween safely and tag us on social (on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter) or using the hashtag #EastMidtownHalloween. Submissions will also be accepted via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ll be sharing our favorite entries on our social media feeds throughout the month of October, and on Monday, November 2, we’ll announce winners across the categories of the Best Baby Costume, Best Kids Costume, and of course, Best Family Costume!
If getting a winning costume together while working from home and supervising your child’s schooling feels a bit daunting, we completely understand! That’s why we’ll also be giving away an additional prize package to one lucky follower! To enter to win the treat bag, make sure you follow the East Midtown Partnership on Instagram and tag a friend who you know has a great costume!
Now let’s see those costumes at home, East Midtowners!
