Summer Streets Returns in August

Summer Streets 2017
Returns in August

For the 10th straight year, 6.9 miles of Park Avenue and connecting streets will be closed between the Brooklyn Bridge and Central Park as "Summer Streets" returns for three consecutive Saturdays in August.

On August 5, 12, and 19, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM, these streets will be open to the public to play, run, walk and bike. In 2016, nearly 300,000 people took advantage of the open streets. In East Midtown, the rest stop at Park Avenue and East 52nd Street will feature a 165-foot long, 30-foot high zip line, bike rental, art exhibits and performances, and much more. Click here to explore all the planned activities, and get ready to celebrate Summer Streets!

By the way, residents, businesses, and property owners, we know the Summer Streets program doesn't come without inconvenience to you. The City has prepared some tips to minimize the inconvenience. Click here to read them, and let us know if we can help.
